Paul Yerkes—Mr. Yerkes has been with Chicago Testing Laboratory since 2000. Paul’s first role was as lead field and laboratory technician in our Thornton office. In 2009, Paul was promoted to laboratory manager and was tasked with designing and managing our new central laboratory in Warrenville. In his current role, Paul is in charge of laboratory operations, management of testing and technical staff, and laboratory accreditation. Paul is also the lead laboratory instructor for the IDOT QC/QA training classes which CTL conducts in conjunction with Lakeland College. Paul has held this position for 15 years and has proudly trained over 6,000 students in the art and science of asphalt, concrete and aggregates testing.
Paul is a member of ASTM D04 Road and Paving Materials, IRTBA DuPage County Coop, IRTBA Tollway Industry Coop, IDOT District 1/IRTBA Joint Forum and the IRTBA DCR Industry Technology Subcommittee.
Paul is honored to say that he has spent his entire professional construction materials testing career with CTL. Prior to joining CTL Paul was a teacher in the Archdiocese of Chicago, and enjoys coaching many different sports including hockey, soccer and baseball.
